Melissa Hyman is an Associate Attorney with Weinstein Legal Team, where she represents clients in a broad range of Personal Injury matters. A South Florida native with Brazilian roots, Melissa is fluent in both English and Portuguese and values the opportunity to connect with and advocate for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Melissa began her legal journey at Florida International University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. In 2021, while studying for the LSAT and applying to law school, she joined Weinstein Legal Team and began gaining firsthand experience in the personal injury field.
Melissa went on to attend Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor and graduated with honors. Throughout law school, she served as Vice President of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, the Environmental and Land Use Law Society, and the Federal Bar Association. She also earned three CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Civil Rights Litigation Seminar, Disability Law, and the Disability Inclusion and Advocacy Law Clinic.
Melissa continued working with Weinstein Legal Team throughout law school, gaining extensive experience handling personal injury cases from pre-suit through litigation and a greater understanding of the challenges clients face following an injury. Now, as a member of The Florida Bar, Melissa uses that foundation to zealously advocate for her clients and guide them through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
In addition to her work in personal injury, Melissa is passionate about disability rights, shaped by a lifetime of advocating for her sister, who suffers from a severe genetic disorder; a personal connection that fuels her dedication to speak for those whose voices often go unheard.
Melissa is also actively involved in the South Florida community and serves on the Board of Directors of 211 Broward, a nonprofit organization connecting individuals and families with critical community resources and support.
Melissa brings a sharp legal mind and a deep sense of purpose to her work, approaching each case with empathy, precision, and determination, making her a valuable asset to the Weinstein Legal Team.
